What Does God Say About Us? – Week 3: God Says We Are…PT. 3

Hey youngins and welcome to another week of “What God says about us.”  

Let’s begin!

–>God says we are STRONG.

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.” -Isaiah 40:31

–>God knows that we will face hardships, but He promises that He will provide us with the strength needed to carry on. In moments where we feel weak, we must look to Him, for he is our source of strength!

–>God says we are REDEEMED.

“Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us–for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS [crucified] ON A TREE (cross)’–” -Galatians 3:13

–>God sent His only son to die for us on the cross so that we may have eternal life [John 3:16]. Jesus paid the price for our sins, and purchased our redemption [freedom] because of His love for us!

–>God says we are PROTECTED.

“He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.” -Psalm 121:3

–>God is always with us, protecting us and watching over us. We must always remember, that no matter what happens, the Lord is always by our side [Isaiah 41:10]. 

–>God says we are NOT ALONE.

“teach them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually–regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:20

–>God will never abandon us. We may not see His presence with human eyes, but He is always near to His children, leading the way for them [Deuteronomy 31:8]. 

So, always remember, YOU ARE STRONG, REDEEMED, PROTECTED AND NEVER ALONE!

Interactive Activity: Each child gets assigned one of the scriptures above and is responsible for completing a coloring sheet of that scripture. These sheets will then be collected and added into the child’s individual “Scripture Binder,” which will be held for them for safe keeping until the end of the year. (They will be able to take the contents of their binders home at the end of the year so they can reflect on all they’ve learned during said time.)
