Hey ya! Glad to see yall back! Today is the last week of our series, “If At First You Don’t Succeed, Try & Try Again,” as we finish up the discussion about what and who God says we are in Him. May these scriptures serve as reminders of the greatness of our GOD! Here we go!
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].” -1 John 1:9
–>God says you are FORGIVEN.<–
He knows you are a sinner! He knows that you will make mistakes and there will be moments where you will fumble the ball. All He requires of you, is to take accountability [acceptance of fault] before Him, so that He may be able to forgive you your sins and grant you a clean slate.
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose–I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” -Philippians 4:13
–>God says we are EMPOWERED.<–
He will never leave you or forsake you! He grants you the strength, self-discipline, motivation and perseverance you need to push forth in your walk with Him. With Him, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
“He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.” -Psalm 121:3
–>God says you are PROTECTED.<–
He is always with you, protecting you and watching over you. You must always remember, that no matter what happens, the Lord is always by your side [Isaiah 41:10]!
“Therefore, [continue to] accept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of [our great] God.” -Romans 15:7
–>God says you are ACCEPTED.<–
He has granted you His stamp of approval! Consider yourself like Visa, ACCEPTED EVERYWHERE!
For those of you who would like some additional encouragement, please see below:
“And each man will no longer teach his neighbor and his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me [through personal experience], from the least of them to the greatest,’ says the Lord. ‘For I will forgive their wickedness, and I will no longer remember their sin.’” -Jeremiah 31:34
“May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality],” -Ephesians 3:16
“For He will save you from the trap of the fowler; And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.” -Psalm 91:3-4
“He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will–” -Ephesians 1:5
